Baked Tahong


Ingredients:
1 kilo tahong (mussels)
1 thumb-sized ginger
2 tablespoons butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup quickmelt cheese, grated

Procedures:
Part 1
1. In a pan, place ginger and mussels with enough water. Bring to boil until the shells open.
2. Drain then remove the top shell. Set aside.

Part 2
1. In a pan, melt butter and saute the garlic for 3 minutes. Remove from heat.
2. Brush mussels with butter-garlic mixture then top with grated cheese.

Part 3
1. In a baking pan lined with aluminum foil then arrange then mussels
2. Bake in a preheated oven at 350 Fahrenheit for 15 minutes or until cheese in is bubbly.
3. Remove from the oven then transfer to serving plate.

Garlic Buttered Shrimp


Ingredients:
1 kilo large shrimps, cleaned
12 medium cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup butter
1 can lemon soda
2 tablespoons chopped spring onion
salt and pepper to taste

Procedures:
Part 1
1. In a bowl, marinade the shrimp in lemon soda for about 20 minutes.

Part 2
1. In a saucepan, melt the butter in a low heat.
2. Saute the garlic until the color turns light brown.
3. Add shrimp and lemon soda, cook until the liquid completely absorb.
4. Add spring onion then seasoning with salt and ground pepper
5. Remove from heat, transfer to serving plate.

Stir Cooked Buttered Vegetables

Filipino Style Recipe: stir cooked buttered vegetables is another simple yet healthy dish and usually served as side dish. It is consists of different varieties of vegetables steamed then stir cooked with butter, salt and pepper.

Ingredients:
1 carrot, cut into strips
1 small-sized cabbage, cut into serving pieces
100 grams beansprouts
3 tablespoons unsalted butter or margarine
salt and ground pepper to taste

Procedures:
Part 1
1. In a pot, boil water with salt then add carrots and cabbage for 3 minutes.
2. Drain and plunge into cold water for another 3 minutes. Drain well and set aside.

Part 2
1. In a pan, melt butter then add bean sprouts, carrots and cabbage.

Filipino Style Recipe: buttered garlic chicken is another delicious chicken dish. Chicken is marinated in olive oil and garlic fried and baked in chicken stock and butter until tender.

Ingredients:
500 grams chicken, cut into serving pieces
1/2 cup olive oil
2 heads of garlic, chopped
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/4 cup chicken stock
salt and pepper to taste

Procedures:
Part 1
1. Pat dry chicken then season with salt and pepper.
2. In a container, combine olive oil, garlic and chicken.
3. Marinate for an hour or overnight inside the fridge. Reserve olive oil.

Part 2
1. In a frying pan, heat olive oil from marinade then fry garlic until light brown. Remove and set aside.
2. In a same frying pan, fry marinated chicken until golden brown. Drain.

Part 3
1. In a baking pan, arrange fried chicken then add butter, chicken stock and a teaspoon of olive oil.
2. Cover with aluminum foil then bake in a preheat oven over 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes.
3. Remove cover then baste chicken and bake again for another 10 minutes.
4. Transfer to serving plate together with toasted garlic. Serve.

Buttered Oyster Mushrooms
