Porkchop Salisbury

Filipino Style Recipe: Porkchop Salisbury is another variety of popular Salisbury dish from United States. The dish is consist of marinated fried porkchop cooked in Salisbury sauce. This is commonly serve as main dish together with steamed rice and vegetable.

Ingredients:
4 pieces pork chops(thick-cut), skin removed
2 white onions, sliced in rings
1/4 cup cooking oil
1 tablespoon butter

Marinade:
3 tablespoons calamansi or lemon juice
1/4 cup soy sauce
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon sugar
salt and pepper to taste

Gravy Sauce:
1 large white onion, slice into rings
2 cups beef stock
1 teaspoon flour
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground pepper

Procedures:
Part 1
1. Pound the meat with a meat pounder then marinate in calamansi, soy sauce, garlic, sugar, salt and pepper for at least 3 hours or overnight inside the fridge.

Part 2
1. In a pan, heat oil then melt butter over medium heat. Lightly fry the onion rings for a few seconds then drain and set aside.

Part 3.
1. In the same pan, heat oil then fry marinated pork chops for 5-8 minutes each side. Drain and set aside.

Part 4
1. In a sauce pan, pour soy sauce and beef stock then bring to boil.
2. Add flour then stir constantly until the sauce becomes thick.
3. Add butter, sugar and ground pepper then stir until well blended.
4. Add pork chops and onion then simmer for another minute.
5. Transfer to serving plate then serve with steamed beans.

Apple-Cinnamon Pork Chops

2 pieces apple, slice thinly
2 tablespoons butter

2. In a same pan, add apple slices and sugar mixture then stir cook until tender.
3. Arrange pork chops in a serving plate then serve with apple mixture.

Filipino Style Recipe: Pork chops steak or bistek is another mouth watering Filipino dish inspired to western beef steak. Pork chop steak or bistek is another variety of pinoy bistek tagalog. Pork chops should marinated then cooked until tender. This dish is usually serve with sauce on top and garnish with onion rings.

Sizzling Porkchop in Mushroom Gravy

Filipino Style Recipe: sizzling porkchop in mushroom gravy is a delicious sizzling dish made of broiled pork chops and mushroom gravy. This is commonly served in hot sizzling plate together with mixed vegetables and steamed rice. I got this idea from one of the resto bar somewhere in Makati City. They served this kind of dish as main course or finger-food(pulutan) together with cold beer.

Ingredients:
4-6 pieces pork chops
1 cup soy sauce
6 pieces calamansi
1/4 cup butter
salt and pepper to taste

Mushroom Gravy:
1/2 onion, diced
2 cups button mushrooms, sliced
3 tablespoons soy sauce or oyster sauce
2 tablespoons flour
3 cups beef stock
2 tablespoons butter

Procedures:
Part 1
1. Marinate pork chops in soy sauce, calamansi juice, salt and pepper for an hour.
2. In a pan, melt butter then broil pork chops for 5 minutes each side or until tender. Set aside.

Part 2
1. In a pan, melt butter then saute onions over medium heat.
2. Add mushrooms then stir cook for 3 minutes.
3. Add soy sauce and flour, stir constantly for a minute.
4. Add beef stock and simmer for 3 minutes or until the sauce becomes thick.
5. Add butter and cook for another minute. This will make the sauce shiny and more flavorful.

Part 3
1. Transfer the pork chops in hot sizzling plate then pour mushroom gravy sauce on top.
2. Serve immediately with mixed veggies and steamed rice.

Porkchop Aloha

Filipino Style Recipe: porkchop aloha is another quick and easy sweet pork dish. This dish is consists of fried porkchops and pineapple slices cooked in a blend of pineapple juice, soy sauce, honey and brown sugar.

Estimated time of preparation and cooking: 30-40 minutes
Good for 10 servings

Ingredients:
10 pieces porkchops
1 big can pineapple slices/chunks/tidbits, reserve the juice
1 white onion, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
1/2 cup sweet soy sauce
2 tablespoons butter
salt and pepper to taste

1/2 cup honey(optional)
2 tablespoons brown sugar(optional)

Procedures:
Part 1
1. In a bowl, season porkchops with salt and pepper.
2. In a non-stick pan, melt butter then fry porkchops for 5 minutes each side or until tender. Set aside.

Part 2
1. In a same pan, saute onion and bell pepper.
2. Pour pineapple juice, soy sauce, honey and brown sugar then bring to boil.
3. Add porkchops and pineapple slices. Cover and simmer for 2 minutes in low heat.
4. Adjust seasoning according to taste. Transfer to serving plate then serve.

Notes:
1. You may also used barbecue sauce.
